Veggie Burgers are a plant-based staple. This recipe is exceptional and a great use of leftover smoked sweet potatoes and chickpeas. Anyone can make a veggie burger with almost anything. Our pit master calls them “garbage burgers” because you can clean out the fridge with all of your cooked veggies and make them into a patties for the grill.

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

Steps.

  1. Mash with a potato masher or pulse in a food processor. Do not over blend as you want there to be some texture.

  2. Separate into 4 equal parts or more depending on preference. Roll into balls and then flatten out into patties.

  3. Cook in the oven, skillet or air fryer. Bake 8-10 minutes in a 375 degree oven, fry 4-6 minutes in an air fryer, or throw on a hot skillet, 3 minutes on each side.

Serve with our Pure Grit Ranch, queso and coleslaw on a bun or throw on a salad or in a bowl.
