Plant-based queso is a must, as this creamy cheesy sauce goes on everything from nachos to chickpea burgers. If you are making PG Mac, use 1/2 the sauce to make this queso. All you have to do is add a few ingredients and presto - you are ready to party. 


 

Ingredients.

  • 1 ½ cups of the Pure Grit Mac sauce

  • 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon miso paste

  • A dash of smoked paprika

  • The Hot Stuff to taste

Steps.

  1. Get out a blender or Nutribullet.

  2. Add 1 ½ cups of the Pure Grit Mac sauce to the blender.

  3. Then add 1 tablespoon chickpea miso paste (I like this chickpea miso, but any paste will do), a tablespoon of nutritional yeast, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, a dash of salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  4. Blend.

  5. Add The Hot Stuff slowly to taste.

Serve.

With anything and everything.

Finish.

We like to finish with diced tomatoes.
