Jay and Kerry met through mutual friends soon after she arrived in Los Angeles in the late ’90s. They had many late nights and lots of laughs with their friends including the other members of his comedy troop Broken Lizard. Their films include Super Troopers I and II, Club Dread, and Beer Fest. Jay is an accomplished writer, actor, and director and Kerry highly recommends his memoir The Mustache Shenanigans. Jay is an all-around great guy and friend.

Where do you live? What do you love about where you live? What are you up to these days?

My name is Jay Chandrasekhar and I live in Los Angeles. I love that I can play golf every day. I'm directing a film for Dreamworks in Vancouver.

What’s your favorite condiment? Why?

Pesto. Incredible taste, healthy and green.

What's your favorite BBQ side?

Mashed potatoes

What's the most overrated condiment/the most underrated, why?

Coleslaw is overrated.
Pure Grit is underrated.

Who is your fave insta cook follow and why?

I don't have one.

Describe your fridge door: Perfectly organized or a chaotic mess? Is there anything in there that you don't remember buying and never use?

Pretty well organized. Capers.

Cheebo, Pace, Shake Shack, Trejos Cantina, Teru Sushi. Los Angeles

What's your favorite life hack? Any new ones?

Meditation followed by yoga stretching. Golf every day.

Describe your first post-covid night out!

I haven't been vaccinated yet. I'm still playing Russian Roulette out there.

What does pure grit mean to you?

Unwillingness to buckle in the face of show biz rejection. Make it anyway.
