BBQ Hummus

All hail hummus. BBQ hummus is great as a zesty side or as a bun topper. 


 

Ingredients.

  • 1 cup smoked chickpeas 

  • 1 clove garlic (about 1 tsp chopped garlic)

  • 1 heaping tablespoon tahini

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 lemon)

  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon paprika 

  • The Pure Grit BBQ sauce to taste (about 1 tablespoon)

  • The Hot Stuff to taste (only if you like it hot; about a teaspoon)

  • Salt to taste (about a teaspoon)

  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil, optional for a creamier consistency

Steps.

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend and add water at the end for desired smoothness; approximately 4 tablespoons.

  2. Finish with a drizzle of Pure Grit BBQ Sauce
